Every child deserves to learn in this unique enriched environment that encompasses hands-on learning both inside and outside. CMH offers authentic Montessori lessons and materials in spacious classrooms designed at a child’s scale. As well, CMH embraces a sprawling 8 acres of gardens, bird blind, creeks, trails, meadows and fields. Few Montessori schools match this kind of setting where knowledge and understanding extends to the great outdoors.
CMH students develop strong self-images, high levels of academic skills and social competence to navigate a variety of situations in a respectful manner. Encouraged to make decisions from an early age, Montessori-educated children are problem solvers who can make appropriate choices, manage their time, and collaborate well with others. They exchange ideas and discuss work freely. These positive communication skills build the foundation for negotiating new settings.
Multi-age groupings at each level – preschool-kindergarten, first through third grade, and fourth through sixth grade – with three-year cycles in the same learning environment allow students, parents and teachers to develop supportive, collaborative partnerships.
CMH partners with families to engage in and inspire life long learners and responsible participants in our diverse global community.
